Changes to loans and renewals
Adults, children and teenagers can now borrow up to 15 items on their library card at any one time. We have also increased renewals - you can now renew your books and CDs in person, online or by phone up to 4 times before you need to bring items in to the library.
Coding and micro:bits

Extended Self-Service opening
Extended Self-Service opening is now available at Chipping Barnet, Colindale, Edgware and Finchley Church End libraries from 7am – 10pm, Monday to Friday. You can also access East Finchley, Golders Green, Hendon, North Finchley and Osidge libraries from 8am – 8pm, Monday to Friday. Staffed hours at all library sites remain unchanged.

A valid Barnet library card is required for access. Your membership must be upgraded by library staff in advance of access during Self Service hours.
Automated telephone renewals
The automated telephone renewals line is temporarily unavailable. You can still renew your library books by phone during library opening hours. Engineers are working on this fault and we apologise for any inconvenience.
