Action for Silk Stream - River Action Day

Join us for our Action for Silk Stream monthly volunteering days. They will be held on the last Thursday of each month.

This week it is London Rivers Week and we will be at The Meads in Barnet to balsam bash! This invasive plant is taking over the river banks and so we need to remove it. The best way to do this is by pulling it out by hand so we will get into the stream and work our way along, removing as many plants as possible. If we do this before the plant produces it's seeds, this will help prevent it from growing next year.

We provide all equipment, including tea and biscuits for all volunteers!

This event is suitable for volunteers 16 and over.
