Mainstream secondary schools/academies1. What is the AWPU that follows a pupil into a mainstream secondary school/academy within your local authority?Maintained special schools/academies.2. What is the allocated funding per pupil for a maintained special secondary school/academy within your local authority?Local authority banding/funding allocation3. We understand that the local authority uses a banding system/funding allocation for education health and care plans. This is the monetary amount that local authorities allocate per EHC plan. We would be grateful if the local authority could outline its system and outline how it allocates funding depending on the type of student for secondary.4. Without making reference to an external document, please outline the monetary amount allocated to each band/funding system (for instance, if the local authority uses band A to F, band A being the banding it uses for less complex students, and band F being for those allocated to a special school).5. Please outline funding per band or funding formula, and also outline what this banding usually covers, such as funding towards LSA support, funding towards a specialist school setting, etc.6. If the local authority has different banding depending on whether the EHC plan specifies a mainstream or a special school, please provide the banding system which has not already been provided.Learning support assistants/LSA7. Within the local authority, what pay bands apply to teaching assistants/learning support assistants? Please list the bands and pay scales in monetary terms, without reference to a separate band/scale document or scheme (when outlining the hourly rates, please outline any pension and national insurance contributions, when providing the figures).8. We understand that most schools use a level system for determining experience of teachingassistants and subsequent pay. This is usually level 1-3, with 3 being learning support assistants with a high level of experience with students with special educational needs. If this is a system you use, we would be grateful if you could outline hourly rates based on this and also how a learning support assistant/teaching assistant is categorised.9. If you are unable to answer questions 9 and 10, please list how the rates of pay are allocated for a teaching assistant/learning support assistant (e.g. level of training and experience)?Dyslexia teaching10. Does the local authority directly employ any specialist dyslexia teachers?11. If yes, how many?12. And if yes, what are the pay bands (in monetary terms, without reference to a separate band/scale document or scheme) for those teachers within the local authority? Please list pay scales of these professionals (based on levels of experience and seniority) in monetary terms, without reference to a separate band/scale document or scheme (when outlining the hourly rates, please outline any pension and national insurance contributions, when providing the figures).13. Alternatively, does the local authority have a specialist dyslexia teacher service, or engage with one? If so, what are the terms of the service-level agreement, or alternatively please provide a copy of the service-level agreement?14. If the local authority has a dyslexia teacher service/employs dyslexia teachers, how frequently did they visit: the Ark Pioneer Academy, Westcombe Drive, Barnet, London, EN5 2BE in the academic year of a) 2021/22 and b) 2022/23?
