East Barnet and Edgware by-election results 2021

The count for the East Barnet and Edgware by-elections took place at Alexandra Palace today (Saturday 8 May) and the following results have been declared.

Nick Mearing-Smith of the Conservatives, left at podium, has been elected the new councillor for East Barnet ward. Nicole Alison Richer of the Conservatives, right, has been elected the new councillor for East Barnet ward.

Nicole Alison Richer of the Conservatives has been elected the new councillor for East Barnet ward following the by-election on 6 May 2021. Nicole Alison Richer will fill the vacancy that resulted from the resignation of Cllr Jo Cooper.

Nick Mearing-Smith of the Conservatives has been elected the new councillor for Edgware ward following the by-election on 6 May 2021. Nick Mearing-Smith will fill the vacancy that resulted from the passing of Cllr Brian Gordon in autumn 2020.

Residents throughout the borough also voted in the Mayor of London and London Assembly elections on Thursday 6 May. The results are expected be declared on the London Elects website on the evening of Saturday 8 May at the earliest.
