Freshwater Theatre Workshop

Monday 6 August, 2.30pm - 3.30pm at Chipping Barnet Library

Have you got what it takes to become a fully qualified Mischief-maker? If so come and enrol with the School of Pranks and put your skills to the test!

Freshwater Theatre Company's new workshop will bring this year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme of Mischief Makers to life, through drama, storytelling, plenty of interactivity and lots of laughter. The children will enrol in the School of Pranks, where they’ll enjoy fun, mischievous and exciting activities. They will also find out about famous mischief makers and learn how to devise a comic-book story.

Mischief-making recruits meet the Head of the School of Pranks and, having learnt the school chant, they undertake lessons in the creation of menacing characters, fiendish pranks, explosive sound effects and devising their own cartoon strip through physical theatre. At the end of their ‘studies’ they are awarded the MBE- Mischief-making Beano Experts!

This event is suitable for 6 to 11 year olds.

Tickets for this workshop cost £5.50 and can be purchased from Chipping Barnet library during staffed hours only, if you want to guarantee a place. You can also pay on the day, subject to availability. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to those who have not pre-paid. Please enquire at the library or email: libraryevents@barnet.gov.uk for more information.
