Work out your business rates

To work out your business rates you need to: multiply the rateable value for your business with a ‘multiplier’ set by the government to estimate your business rates. A multiplier is the number of pence per pound of rateable value that you’ll have to pay in business rates, before any relief or discounts are deducted.  Find your correct multiplier and check your business rates valuation on GOV.UK - you will need either your business post code, street or town details.

Residents' advice There's no law stopping you from clearing snow and ice on the public footways outside your home or from public spaces. It's unlikely you'll be sued or held legally responsible for any injuries on the path if you have cleared it carefully and not made the conditions worse. Remember, people walking on snow and ice have responsibility to be careful themselves.

Clean air act approval
