Improve accessibility for all users. Support the provision of a wide range of shops and services to meet the needs of diverse local populations. All Town Centre Frameworks are subject to community engagement in order to identify the different requirements of each individual centre and the different needs and preferences of those who use them.

Dollis Valley

The Dollis Valley Estate lies to the north of the borough on the outskirts of Chipping Barnet near High Barnet, the last station on the Northern Line. The estate is on a south facing slope within an area of traditional suburban housing with excellent views across the adjacent green belt, and designated as both a Countryside Conservation area and Heritage Land.

Mill Hill Village

By the 14th century there was a road from Hendon up Bittacy Hill and continuing through Highwood Hill, known then and now as The Ridgeway. The roads weren't very good and it was not uncommon for travellers to use the side of the roads as the centres became muddy.

Environmental permit part A

Application type You must have an Environmental Permit if you operate a regulated installation in England or Wales.  Regulated installations are divided into three categories: Part A(1), Part A(2) or and Part B.  Part A(2) and Part B installations are regulated by the Local Authority.  Part A(1) installations are regulated by the Environment Agency.  Information on A(1) activities can be found on the Environment Agency website.  This page is for Part A(2) installations.
