Registering a birth Every birth must be registered within 42 days of the child being born. If your baby was born in Barnet, either at home, at Edgware Birthing Centre or at Barnet General Hospital, you can register the birth at the Register Office at Hendon Town Hall.  It is best to register your baby in the borough where they were born. Room hire at Hendon Town Hall

We charge a non-refundable booking fee of £100 to book a ceremony date and time for all marriage, civil and vow renewal ceremonies. The booking fee forms part of the full ceremony fee you will pay. Hendon Town Hall  Fees include the cost of the room and the registrars. Hendon Town Hall is a grade II listed building in Hendon and has 4 rooms available to host ceremonies. 

Ceremony cancellations and changes

Arriving late to your ceremony Register Office in Hendon Town Hall If you are up to 20 minutes late to your ceremony, there is a late arrival fee of £40. You must pay this before the start of the ceremony. If you are more than 20 minutes late, we will cancel your ceremony and you will need to re-book and pay again in full.
