Town Centre floor space needs

The Mayor is The First Citizen of the Borough. The Mayor’s role in the borough is a non-political, civic role and the Mayor receives several hundred invitations a year. The Mayor is appointed annually by the Council from amongst the Councillors. The Deputy Mayor is appointed by the Mayor annually from amongst the Councillors. The Mayor also chooses a Mayoress or Mayor’s Escort who can accompany the Mayor to Mayoral engagements. The Deputy Mayor may stand-in for the Mayor whenever the Mayor is unable to act (for example, due to an overlap of events).

Scams and doorstep traders  If you have information about scams or dodgy doorstep traders in your area we would like to know. Firstly contact Citizens Advice consumer service. Citizens Advice will be able to talk you through how to get a refund of any money due.

What is the Disabled Children's Register? The register is a database that holds information about children and young people with disabilities who live in the Borough of Barnet. The database holds the names, addresses and other basic details of disabled children and young people and can only be accessed by authorised staff. 

Application for Registration of Cooling Towers Licence summary If you control non-domestic premises you must ensure that you notify the local authority of any cooling tower or evaporative condenser (notifiable devices) on the premises.
