Victoria Park funfair closes tonight

Last updated: 21 September, 2020

We made the decision in light of increasing COVID-19 infections in the borough. Closing the funfair is purely a precautionary measure and there is no evidence of anyone being infected as a result of attending. The operator provided the council with a COVID Secure risk assessment prior to the funfair’s opening, and we have been regularly monitoring it to ensure compliance is met. We are reviewing all applications for future public events in our parks and open spaces as part of our measures to prevent the spread of infection.
